I find the chronology very useful. At the start I was worried because we were learning the theory and it was hard to contextualise but then when we started doing practical application, the theory notes were super super useful. The two days built on topics very well and the useful tips and notes were also useful because it forced us to stay engaged and I created a little DAX tips and notes diary that I can keep and use for my own work. Ali was very good. I’m not good at coding but I understand each concept completely and I’m no longer scared of DAX.

Really well delivered course. The use of annotation was helpful and the screenshots provided later. Inviting students to troubleshoot for each other was a great way for us to benefit from time spent dealing with errors and issues. The calculate function and learning how to use parameters to make calculations dynamic will be particularly useful to me. All clearly explained and with good example. Pace was good too.

Very insightful. The course focused heavily on data modelling which I wasn’t expecting but I got a lot out of it and can see the importance of understanding this in my Power BI journey. Ali was a very engaging trainer which I liked. It is clear that he is passionate and knowledgeable with the content. The course uses Excel files and content which is not always relevant to organizations that use databases. Ali was able to provide helpful information to questions in this space though.

I was sincerely impressed at Ali’s knowledge of the course material and content: The fact that he used a whiteboard to write down his notes for us demonstrated that he was confident and knew the material, and the course itself flowed from point-to-point with clear examples that were planned to present things to consider and think about (as opposed to other courses I’ve been on that read from a PowerPoint and only have generic examples). I really appreciated the tricks and tips that Ali showed throughout, and most are going to be directly applicable to my current work. Thank you!
